'without ego and with humility'?
you're a woman of the world - you need an ego or people wouldn't approach you...let alone interact with you.
Without ego, there would be no art, no personality, no laughter...and it's only ego that makes humility possible.

i like your blog x

Right on the button as usual, and as anyone knows who has gone through a time of crisis, there comes with it a real chance to change, which inevitably makes us feel higly uncomfortable at different stages along the way. We talk about going on a rollercoaster ride (which reminds me of Lynn's image of the undulating caterpillar, before it turns into a butterfly!) and we want to get off the ride. But if we hold tight - look within - the answers will come. Sometimes there isn't one right answer but many ways to be, and I support what Lynn does because she's not afraid to be daring or to try something new.

You go girl! Wise words from a wise goddess. I am always impressed by your honesty and the vulnerability you show in your writing. I value your overview and deep insight into matters both spiritual and practical. Of course you've got yourself quite a reputation, having dared to step out and create a powerful event such as Juice. Being the originator and facilitator of similar gatherings myself, I know the risk in offering such heart-opening and transformational events to the public. If anyone ever asks me about you and your work just know that I always respond with gushing exclamations as "Lynn is solid gold. Utterly trustworthy! With the greatest integrity running through all her work." Just so you know - I'm a HUGE fan x

There's so much here to mull over! Which route to take .. or does our journey of a thousand miles eventually bring us to the same place? And is it inevitable that as we come to a cross-road we may also find one of those paradoxes Lynn talks about? I was particularly struck by the quote from Eckhart Tolle .. 'the ego wants to want more than it wants to have". Is this the ego trying not to be sidelined? To be bigger than it deserves to be? Or is it the Spirit or our Soul trying to make itself known while the ego piggy-backs a ride and tries to play out its own agenda? Surely we will only ever know how to separate the two BY separating them ourselves? "Everything is darkly light" also shone out and reminded me of an egg made of volcanic glass that I once held. On the surface it was black but if you turned the glass over in your hands a light shone through it .. not on to it, not a reflection but from within. Someone lent me the glass egg which I had to return but rather like the words Lynn offers here it was a reminder to be still and look beyond the surface.

Oh dear. As a 45 year old widow in what I think of as an "ajar" relationship (it's not open, but we both agree that sexual fidelity is not at its heart), I'm apparently supposed to be one of the less happy people here on earth.

I don't agree.

My lover and I are emotionally vulnerable and loving with each other. We choose to see the truth in our relationship, odd as it may look to the outside world (no, we don't own each other and we don't - couldn't! - live together)

It takes courage on both sides to live in that kind of relationship, and I fully appreciate how fortunate I am.

You are very right, though. It seems that the aftermath of so-called equality and feminism has not actually delivered us equality to be men and women, interacting with each other. It has given women the right to be more like a man. But, at the same time, while still carrying on all the traditional female roles. Some call it Having It All. I call it Having a Nervous Breakdown.

I'm not Superwoman. I don't want to be Superwoman. I want to be happy and content. Luckily for me, I believe I am.

"Well, I might just have a little chink of light up my sleeve.

The only problem is that accessing it might entail losing your mind…."

Classic line Lynn! Another good read. See you next week, and happy new year to you.

Lynn, you are not only a wise woman but a clear and intelligent writer. I don't know many others who could find the words to convey this message so succinctly. I agree wholeheartedly with everything you say and I feel myself more empowered and more in touch with my innate, feminine 'wisdom' after reading your blog. Thank you for being brave enough to write your truth. You're an inspiration x
